Ginkgo Galore A Golden Arts + Music Festival
Saturday, October 24, 2026 | Wilmore, KY
Celebrating in The Ginkgo Capital of America!
Every autumn,
Wilmore begins its transformation
from
green
to gold!
Leaves collect like nature's confetti. Front yards fill with friends. Campuses shimmer. Smiles glow.
GINKGO GALORE™ invites you to slow down, look up, and wander beneath a canopy shifting from green to gold. Because for one autumn day, The Ginkgo Capital of America becomes a living celebration of art, music, and creativity. It becomes a community embrace you can lean into.

A Day Like No Other
Some come for the art. Some come for the music. All come to discover.
Throughout the day, the village of Wilmore fills with live music, artisan tents, juried art, storytelling, food, conversations, and the slow beauty of autumn leaning in.
The day begins with the Ginkgo GO 5K. By afternoon, the Main Street pulses. By evening, the stage begins to glow.
Laughter. Art. Music. Food. Connection. Wonder. Discovery.
Why Ginkgo?
The ginkgo tree is one of the oldest and most resilient trees on earth. For centuries, it has endured change while continuing to return each autumn in brilliant color.
But in a hurried world, the ginkgo reminds us that some things still deserve gathering around.
In Wilmore, the tree became more than landscaping. It became part of the town's distinctive identity. The first transplanted ginkgo arrived from Asia in 1952. Today, trees throughout the city frame a green-and-gold autumn. Locals slow down beneath them. Neighbors gather. Conversations linger longer. Music drifts through the streets.
That is why GINKGO GALORE™ exists. Not simply to celebrate art, music, or trees. But to celebrate what still happens when people gather beneath them.
Discovery.
The Town Becomes
the Festival
GINKGO GALORE™ is not designed around a fenced fairground. The town itself becomes the experience.
Concerts. Art shows. Storytelling. Coffee shops. New tree plantings.
Through our distinctive "Dovetail Event Partner" model, organizations throughout the region are invited to create affiliated ginkgo-themed events woven into the overall festival calendar. For one autumn day, creativity spreads across the town canopy itself.
"A golden idea with national appeal. We invite you to be part of it from the very beginning."
— Mayor Harold Rainwater
Maybe that's why people are drawn to the ginkgo. Not because it rushes change. But because year after year, it quietly transforms everything around it. And for one autumn day, so does The Ginkgo Capital of America.
GINKGO GALORE™ invites you and yours. Come wander. Come discover.
